Our Approach
In therapy, we employ a blend of therapeutic modalities, with a primary focus on Internal Family Systems (IFS) and often combined with other trauma modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting, and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (and other somatic body-focused therapies. Through IFS, EMDR, Brainspotting, and somatic therapies, you can achieve the following:

How it Works
IFS allows healing through connection with your inner "parts" or "sides" of yourself IFS helps you explore and connect with the different "parts" of yourself that hold various emotions and memories, often rooted in trauma. By understanding and compassionately addressing these parts, IFS guides you toward healing. Through this process, you connect with your core Self—the calm, wise center within you—bringing balance and harmony to your inner world.
EMDR uses bilateral stimulation techniques that create a bridge for your mind to process and heal. This can include actions like tapping, eye movement, or auditory cues that activate the left and right hemispheres of your brain. In essence, EMDR allows your brain to reprocess its emotional attachment to traumatic experiences and rewiring thought patterns, thus bringing relief and renewal.
Brainspotting taps into your brain’s natural healing ability by focusing on specific points in your visual field. This technique helps you access and process the emotional and physical responses tied to trauma. By identifying these "brainspots," Brainspotting enables deep release and healing, guiding you from overwhelm to resilience and inner calm.
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP) helps you shift from being stuck in traumatic memories to finding adaptability and ease in your body. By focusing on the connection between your physical sensations and emotions, this approach allows you to process trauma stored in the body. Through mindful movement, posture, and body awareness, SP helps you release the physical hold of trauma, restoring balance and fostering emotional healing.
