My approach is versatile, drawing on Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Brainspotting, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). With this diverse toolbox, I am dedicated to supporting social workers at all stages of their careers.​

I am here to help you refine your therapeutic techniques, enhance your diagnostic skills, and introduce you to new evidence-based interventions. The Supervision Process for LMSWs

The EMDR therapeutic process in Houston at In Vivo Center involves several structured phases designed to help individuals reprocess and heal from traumatic memories:

Paperwork Assistance

Completing supervision paperwork and navigating the next steps with the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council can be confusing, but I’m here to guide you through it. We will schedule a session to complete the required paperwork together.

 

Please note that you may need to gather specific documents from your workplace prior to our meeting.

Accumulate Professional Experience

Over the course of 24 months, you will accumulate at least 3,000 hours of supervised clinical experience in settings such as community mental health agencies, private practices, clinics, or hospitals.

Complete the Final Steps and Become an LCSW

In addition to passing your exam, you’ll need to complete the jurisprudence exam and submit your Clinical Supervision Verification Form, along with any other board-mandated requirements. Once everything is approved and your name appears on the online directory—congratulations, you’re officially an LCSW!

Free Consultation

Before starting, we’ll meet to ensure we are the right fit for one another. The goal of this consultation is to align with your professional objectives, ensuring that your supervision experience is both meaningful and supportive.

Individualized Supervision Plan

Your supervision experience will be customized to address your unique needs and professional goals. During regular meetings, I will offer guidance, feedback, and support to enhance your professional practice and growth.

 

Supervision will include a combination of group and individual sessions, totaling 100 hours over 24 months. This averages to 1 hour of supervision for every 40 hours of work. The supervision process includes diverse methods such as case consultation, role-playing, and self-reflection exercises to ensure comprehensive development.

Pass Your LCSW Exam

Utilize the clinical skills gained during supervision to prepare for and pass the ASWB clinical exam. Please note that you will remain under supervision until your license is officially posted on the online directory.
